NBC Universal will increase its international production activity after launching a production hub in London.
The division will be headed by Angela Bromstad, who was previously NBC Universal TV Studio president, and will focus on scripted and reality programming. Currently, NBC Universal’s international production has focused on local remakes of top hits such as Law&Order: Criminal Intent in France and Law&Order: Special Victim Unit in Russia.
Bromstad will be joined in London by Roma Khanna, who has joined as president, global networks and digital initiatives. Khanna, who was previously senior VP, content at Canadian broadcaster Chum, will be part of the team responsible for the launch of 20 channels across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
