Howard Litton is leaving Nickelodeon UK after fifteen years at the kids broadcaster. As senior VP and managing director, Litton has run the kids channel and is one of the best known faces in the kids TV business.
It was not immediately clear what Litton will do next. In a statement he said he would take some time out before pursuing personal projects.
He said: “I’ve had an amazing time at Nickelodeon UK, but after 15 years of fun and hard work at the best kids’ entertainment brand in the UK, it’s time for a change and for new challenges. I’ve got some exciting projects in the pipeline, but before that I’m looking forward to spending several months at home with my wife and two little girls.”
MTV said it has started looking for a replacement. Steve Grieder, EVP, Nickelodeon International & Programme Sales for MTV Networks International will oversee day-to-day operations of Nickelodeon UK until a new UK boss is recruited.
