Scandinavian producer and distributor MEG has inked its first ever formats deal.
Previously best-known for its clip-based programming, MEG decided to move into the formats business last year, appointing ex-Distraction executive Sarah Coursey to spearhead the drive.
It has now licensed the Kiwi format Miss Lingerie Model to Canadian indie Trio Orange, which has optioned it for French Canada.
The format was created by New Zealand-based indie Comedia Productions. The format sees women compete for a Miss Lingerie Model title by modelling underwear.
Separately, MEG has recruited two new sales agents for the recently-minted formats division. Barbara Kalicinska will handle format sales in Central and Eastern Europe and Barbara Vallant in Portugal, Ukraine, Russia and German and Spanish-speaking Europe.
