Germany’s SevenOne inks copro and distribution deal with Granada

SevenOne International has inked a deal with Granada Australia, which will sell and coproduce its formats in Australia and New Zealand.

SevenOne is the sales arm of German broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1 and has a raft of formats in its catalogue including My Man Can, which it has just sold into free-to-air TV in China.

Granada is owned by UK free-to-air broadcaster ITV and is one of Australia’s largest producers, making, among others, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here for Network Ten.

“We are delighted to be announcing this major deal with Granada and look forward to a successful partnership in these territories,” said Jens Richter, managing director, SevenOne International. “Our aim to create new opportunities with a slate of programs is part of SevenOne International’s current global strategy.”

Leonie Lowe, Managing Director, Granada Australia, said: “We will be working closely with SevenOne International to coproduce shows together for the local market.  A great number of their formats offer exciting line-ups that have stand-out potential.
