US Cable Upfronts 2011: Spike TV

Spike TV has launched its latest slate of original series including series produced by Ben Silverman and Jersey Shore’s SallyAnn Salsano.

The male skewing US cable network, which is owned by Viacom, has ordered six new unscripted series including The Sheriff, Pawn Games, Hungry Men At Work, World’s Worst Tenants, Auction In My House and The Hustler.

The Sheriff is produced by Silverman’s Electus and 5×5 Media and follows Tony Schiena as he tries to upgrade a range of sheriff departments; Pawn Games, which is produced by Salsano’s 495 Productions, is a gameshow based in a pawn shop; Page Productions’ Hungry Men At Work is a dangerous jobs reality series fronted by chef Stretch; World’s Worst Tenants, which is produced by Zoo Productions, follows professional evictor Todd Howard; Auction In My House, which is produced by Zodiak USA, is based on RDF format Secret Dealers and follows a group of bargain hunters and RelativityREAL’s The Hustler follows Josh T. Ryan, the self proclaimed best salesman alive.

TBI will be launching a new supplement in July that will comprehensively cover all of this year’s US cable pickups.
