MTV India is to produce a local version of reality format The Real Chat House after striking a deal with Armoza Formats.
This marks the first international version of the format, which was created and developed by Harel Josefson.
The Indian youth skewing broadcaster will coproduce the series with Israeli production company Tanin Productions and will launch the first season of 16 episodes in December.
The show features 15 contestants that live in a house together and instead of being eliminated, they must try and add as many online friends to the house as possible. The winner receives a prize of INR25,000 (US$500).
This is the second format that Armoza has had commissioned in Asia following its recent deal with nascent Korean broadcaster Channel A to launch a local version of gameshow Upgrade.
