Shine has launched a new formats company and has hired former Notional president Chachi Senior to run it.
Shine America, the US division of the international producer and distribution, has launched Ardaban to develop new formats for US and international broadcasters.
Senior, who was co-president at the IAC-owned production company, which was overseen by Electus boss Ben Silverman, will become chief executive of the new company. He has worked on formats including Chopped, No Kitchen Required and Randy Jackson’s Lovesong.
Formats developed by Ardaban will be produced by Shine America and distributed globally by Shine International.
Carl Fennessy, Shine America CEO, said: “The creation of Ardaban and appointment of Chachi as CEO signifies Shine’s continued commitment to partnering with the world’s best talent and creating new formats that really connect with audiences. With Chachi at the helm of Ardaban, we have added a new creative force to the Shine global family”.
