BBC World News is pushing into original production with the launch of an eight part business series produced by Sony’s Gogglebox.
The international broadcaster has commissioned 8x30mins series The Ideas Exchange, which will be produced by Gogglebox Entertainment and sponsored by HSBC.
The show will pair up two global business leaders from around the world to talk about their experiences and share their stories. Business leaders include Lego CEO Jorgen Vig Knudstorp and Bethlehem Tilahun Alemu, founder of eco shoe firm SoleRebels (pictured) and WPP boss Sir Martin Sorrell and Sunil Mittal.
The series was commissioned by Mary Wilkinson, commissioning editor, BBC World News.
“What makes this series unique is the fact that the business leaders taking part actually interview one another. We have eavesdropped on some remarkable conversations,” says Mat Steiner, joint managing director, Gogglebox Entertainment.
