The period scripted series tells the story of two KGB spies posing as Americans in suburban Washington DC shortly after Ronald Reagan is elected President.

“It’s great going back to the 1980s. It’s a great era to write about,” creator Joe Weisberg told TBI. “Fox talks alot about how important international is. Particularly with cable dramas, whether or not they work overseas can be make or break.”

The pilot will be screened at MIPCOM and the series begins full production in October, before going out on FX in early 2013.

Laurine Garaude, director of Reed MIDEM’s Television Division said: “The recurring success of the World Premiere TV Screenings at MIPCOM and MIPTV confirms the event’s position as a premium showcase for leading television and film companies to screen outstanding programmes to the most influential buyers, industry players, and international media from over 100 countries.”
