Imira closes deals ahead of Asia TV Forum

Spanish producer and distributor Imira Entertainment has closed a raft of deals in Asia for its kids series ahead of the Asia Television Forum.

The company has inked programming deals for Sandra, The Fairytale Detective, Lola & Virginia, Vitaminix, Saari and Lucky Fred.

Singaporean free-to-air broadcaster Mediacorp has bought 52x13mins Sandra, The Fairytale Detective for its TV12 channel, as has Malaysian free-to-air network CH-9 Media. Vietnamese broadcaster Hanoi TV and Ho Chi Minh TV have picked up Lola & Virginia and Sandra, The Fairytale Detective.

Zee Learn TV has bought free and pay rights to 104x2mins Vitaminix for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and Good TV has bought pay TV rights to Saari for Taiwan and the Philippines.

Lucky Fred has also been picked up by South Korean pay network Tooniverse and Malaysian free-to-air channel RTM.

Imira will be shopping for additional deals for these shows at the Asia Television Forum, which is held in Singapore at the start of December.

Christophe Goldberger, producer and head of distribution and marketing at Imira Entertainment, said: “These new deals for Imira-produced programming underscores the growing Asian market for our shows – also emphasized by the recent additional deals for Lucky Fred. We are very excited by the potential of this 360º property globally.”
