BBC Worldwide has shopped a package of MasterChef programming to Australian pay TV operator Foxtel.
The deal gives Foxtel’s lifestyle channels a range of series and shows based on the cooking competition franchise.
The original British series will air on LifeStyle FOOD next year and in the meantime BBC Worldwide Australasia has sold Foxtel series 9 and 10 of the original show, series 7 and 8 of Celebrity MasterChef, series 5, 6 and 7 of MasterChef the Professionals and series two of Junior MasterChef.
The cooking shows will start transmitting early next year.
Annette Kollek, BBC Worldwide Australasia’s sales manager said: “This deal is a testament to our longstanding relationship with the LifeStyle channels and we are delighted that once again, MasterChef UK has found a home on LifeStyle FOOD.”
