UK-based distributor Power has sold its action show Air Force One is Down to AXN.
Sony Pictures Television’s male-skewed channel has acquired the 2x120mins show for AXN in South Korea, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The two-parter follows the hijacked of Air Force One by rogue Serbian militants and stars Jeremy Sisto (Law and Order) and Linda Hamilton (Terminator).
The AXN deals come after Power shopped the title to broadcasters including Star in Asia and Pop TV in Slovenia, RTL Klub in Hungary, and Prima in the Czech Republic. Universal Networks has rights to the show in Latin America.
Power CEO Susan Waddell said: “This was Power’s first coproduction in a while and paves the way for more ambitious future coproductions.”
The series is based on an Alistair Maclean novella and was made by Power and Sonar Entertainment.
