RTS, French TV unveil iVatars in Cannes

An interactive children’s gameshow from producer French TV and Swiss pubcaster RTS is launching at MIPCOM.

iVatars is a studio gameshow that allows viewers to interactively join in through a second screen technology known as Virdual. It launched on RTS last December and a second season has been commissioned.

French TV will be in Cannes to introduce the format. The firm’s president David Rosconval said: “We wanted to create something that was more than a game show, something that gave viewers an inclusive experience. RTS really trust and believe in this new kind of TV show and since the beginning it has been a successful collaborative adventure.
