Chinese state broadcaster CCTV has commissioned UK indie Ten Alps to produce The Secrets of Branding, an eight-part doc series.
CCTV2 will broadcast the 8x50mins series, which looks at more than 30 top global brand and the key components that keep them popular. BBC Worldwide has acquired distribution rights.
Ten Alps is the latest overseas company to get a commission in China. Insiders expect international documentary is become an increasingly profitable business once the new regulations limiting the number of overseas primetime formats come into play in January.
