CEE, Mid East nets host Rivals-in-Law

Rivals in law 2Broadcasters in the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe and surrounding have acquired Turkish cooking reality format Rivals-in-Law.

In the Middle East, prodco iMagic has produced a series for Abu Dhabi TV, which launched in December.

In Kazakhstan, Channel 7 has licensed it for a local remake, while Macedonia’s Alfa TV Dooel, Serbia’s Nova and Ukraine’s Spintrex Holdings have done the same. Options are also out in Russia and Latin America.

The format aims to being “age-old tensions between mothers and daughters-in-law to boiling point in a studio kitchen setting under the watchful eye of a host chef”.

Global Agency sells the format on the international market.
