News brief: Asian nets go through Looking Glass for factual

Looking Glass International - TravelOzSeveral Asian broadcasters have acquired factual programming from Australia-based distributor Looking Glass International.

Among the deals, KBS in Korea and CCTV in China have taken Wildlife Films Botswana-produced blue chip wildlife docs The Unlikely Leopard and Big Cat Odyssey, which both first went out through National Georgraphic Channels.

CCTV also acquired three other 1x60mins docs, while Big Cat Odyssey also went to Singapore’s Okto.

TrueVision in Thailand, China’s Rare Media, Hong Kong’s TVBi, Radio Television Brunei, Thoa Le Entertainment in Vietnam have also bought shows from LGI’s Beijing office, which sales manager Karen Lee heads up. Taiwan’s Wonder Hypermedia Corporation bought travel series Travel Oz (pictured).
