Fox channels does content deal with ‘Middle East Netflix’

160408_0536_listener_day_2_pilot_09020Fox International Channels has agreed a deal with icflix, the OTT operator that has been dubbed ‘the Netflix of the Middle East’.

The programming deal means icflix subs can watch a range of shows from FIC’s National Geographic channel in English, Arabic and Farsi. The Nat Geo programming line-up on icflix will be updated monthly.

The agreement also covers other shows from FIC channels including hit zombie apocalypse drama The Walking Dead. Other drama series that will launch on the OTT service include The Listener (pictured), about a mind-reading paramedic.

On the kids side icflix will start carrying Fox’s Baby TV on its service in English and Arabic.

icflix is available in the Middle East and North Africa region for a monthly fee of US$7.99. The Dubai-based business launched in 2012.
