The service, which is run by Mike Young and Nicolas Atlan’s Splash Entertainment, has inked a deal with VHX, a tech company that provides a platform for content owners who want to distribute content direct to consumers.
Kabillion has, in partnership with VHX, made several of its shows available for download to connected devices in the US. Titles include Chloe’s Closet, Hero:108, The DaVincibles, and Dive Olly Dive.
“Now our audience has the ability to own their favorite shows and view them on multiple devices,” said David Di Lorenzo, Splash’s VP, licensing and digital distribution. “We need to be everywhere and our partnership with VHX has enabled us to create a storefront that fulfills this need.”
Ad-supported Kabillion is currently in about 50 million pay TV homes in the US.
