Singaporean broadcaster MediaCorp has recruited Jack Lim as its first COO, putting him in charge of the company’s commercial division.
Lim joins from Sony Pictures Television where he headed up advertising and affiliate sales as well as marketing. He has also worked for CNBC, IBM and General Electric.
At MediaCorp he will report directly to company CEO Shaun Seow.
“Jack’s appointment is a key move as MediaCorp puts even greater emphasis on creating premium original content across our platforms for our consumers and in parallel, fresh approaches for businesses to reach their customers, Seow said.
“There has never been a more exciting time to be a chief commercial officer, and the opportunity is especially exciting in MediaCorp,” added Lim. He starts in the new role on September 1.
