The series is produced by UK indie BriteSpark Films and will go out on UKTV’s Really channel.
UKTV has also picked up Did He Do It?, a six-part docudrama about real-life murder trials in which viewers get involved with the did they or didn’t they do it debate. Also produced by Brite Spark, it was originally commissioned by Discovery ID in the US.
Both series are distributed by TCB Media Rights, which struck the deal with UKTV. It also shopped its 137x30mins ob-doc series Bondi Rescue and Border Patrol to the channels group.
Alexandra Finlay, head of acquisitions and coproductions at UKTV said: “Real crime series have proved popular with our viewers on Really and we are excited to have secured these two brand new shows from TCB Media Rights. Bondi Rescue and Border Patrol also perform extremely well and continue to attract a loyal following.”
