Israeli pay TV channel Viva has acquired Globo’s telenovela Trail of Lies.
The show will debut in the territory in April following the agreement with the global sales arm of Brazilian channels operator Globo.
Trail of Lies follows a woman whose newborn baby is kidnapped by her conniving brother and a man that finds the child on the same night he loses his own wife and son.
It has sold to territories such as Portugal, where it is has been a ratings hit on SIC. ITVN in Poland, Public TV in Armenia, MundoFox in the US and Azteca in Mexico are among buyers of the show.
Globo’s deal with Viva also includes rights to Brazil Avenue and Looks & Essence.
