The 8x60mins series, which is inspired by Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger, is sold by Disney Media Distribution, and launched at last year’s LA Screenings.
On the back of this year’s event, Fox UK has acquired UK and Ireland rights to the Hayley Atwell-starrer, which comes from ABC Studios and Marvel Television.
The acquisition represents the first deal 21st Century Fox-owned FIC UK has struck since former Channel 5 controller Jeff Ford left his post at Ireland’s TV3 and became managing director in February.
“With high production values and a stellar UK and international cast, the series is the perfect addition to Fox UK’s summer line up, continuing the channel’s commitment to bring exclusive, original and breakthrough series to a UK audience,” he said.
The show will debut locally in July.
