Digital distributor MoMedia has acquired rights to more than 20 series from the DreamWorks Classics catalogue.
The agreement comprises more than 800 episodes and is for video-on-demand sales rights worldwide outside North America.
Titles include Postman Pat, Noddy, Tinga Tinga Tales and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and will be made available to on-demand platforms globally.
“Our goal is to disrupt the current digital distribution model and reinvent the way that digital content is managed and marketed,” said Lucas Bertrand, CEO of MoMedia. “This agreement to monetise some of the most successful kids TV brands of all time is a major landmark in our journey to create a new standard in digital distribution.”
DreamWorks Classics was created in 2012 after LA-based DreamWorks Animation bought Classic Media for US$155 milion.
