The deal with The Pokémon Company International includes the current season, Pokémon the Series: XY Kalos Quest.
Episodes will begin airing on pay TV channel Nick’s Saturday morning boys action block with the nineteenth season premiere in 2016.
Furthermore, deals for the first two seasons of the show have been struck with German free TV channel Super RTL for its new SVOD platform, Kividoo.
Pokémon programming already runs in Germany on free TV channel ProSieben MAXX and VOD platform Watchever.
“With core older fans still able to watch content on ProSieben MAXX and multiple content available through SVOD platforms, Pokémon fans in the country will be able to watch the series wherever and whenever they want,” said Emily Arons, senior VP, international business at The Pokémon Company International.
