Global Screen shops wartime series to b’casters

Naked-Among-Wolves-(3)A raft of international broadcasters have acquired Naked Among Wolves, the German TV movie is an adaptation of the German author Bruno Apitz novel.

Spanish pubcaster TVE has snagged the show, which follows a concentration camp prisoner’s attempts to hide a young Jewish boy.

In Italy, the country’s largest commercial TV group, Mediaset has acquired the show.

In Scandinavia, Danish and Swedish pubcasters DR and SVT respectively, have both bought it, Further afield, KBS has it in South Korea.

Naked Among Wolves is distributed by Germany-based Global Screen. It will continue the sales effort at MIPCOM, having previously announced sales to broadcasters including TVP in Poland, ORF in Austria and LRT in Lithuania.

Alexandra Heidrich, head of TV sales and acquisitions at Global Screen said: “We are thrilled at the high interest in Naked Among Wolves and we are looking forward to seal deals in remaining territories at MIPCOM, offers for all English speaking territories and for several Eastern European territories are on the table.”
