The organisers of MIPTV and MIPCOM are launching a new scripted TV screenings, with the MIPDrama Screenings running for a day ahead of next year’s MIPTV.
There will also be a conference element, highlighting international drama trends. Reed MIDEM said there will also be networking events, uniting buyers and content companies.
The scripted series being screened will be categorised into Europe and rest of the world.
Laurine Garaude, director of Reed MIDEM’s TV department, said the new event was being launched to meet the demand of drama buyers and distributors.
“This new initiative is in response to the growing need expressed by our clients t discover new content before the market begins,” she said.
“This need goes hand in hand with the boom in creativity that has led to a surge in production of high quality drama from so many different territories.”
MIPDrama will run on Sunday, April 3.
