The Universal Channel in Italy has acquired 91x26mins of Hollywood’s Best Film Directors.
The series profiles famous film directors including Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire).
The series is distributed by Paris-based Prime Entertainment, which has previously shopped it to buyers including AMC, BSkyB, HBO and Netflix.
Speaking about the series, David Freydt, managing director of Prime said: “When we started it six years ago, we were very few to believe that directors talking about their craft and giving anecdotes about their movies would be appealing to the audience. Today, we have the pleasure to be on so many fantastic channels all over the world, with so many people loving the show.”
