Ko Dae-YoungKorean pubcaster KBS has formally appointed Ko Dae-young (pictured) as its new president and chief executive officer.

He becomes KBS’s 22nd chief, succeeding Cho Dae-Hyun, who has completed his tenure.

Ko Dae-young will remain in the role until November 2018. He first joined the organisation in 1985 as a reporter, and was named its first president last year. He has mostly recently been president of KBS Business.

Ko Dae-young used his inauguration speech to say KBS should reorganise itself to producer creative content that could offset ongoing financial difficulties affecting the broadcasting industry.
