Zodiak Kids takes on Airside Andy project

Kids-logo-460_2Zodiak Kids Studios is the second producer to attempt to an animated television series version of kids property Airside Andy.

Former Chapman Entertainment commercial chief Greg Lynn was previously working with Technicolor Digital Productions on the property, but reps for brand creators Robert Cooper and Peter Le Mansurier of UK-based Airside Andy Ltd confirmed Lynn is no longer involved.

Zodiak Kids Studios will work up a 52x10mins multiplatform preschool series, which follows a group of airport vehicles and their enthusiastic airport controller leader, Andy.

Gaming pods from the franchise have already gone live in Manchester and Newcastle airports, and are rolling out across Swissport Aspire lounges this year. These pods includes interactive tablets loaded with an Andy game.

Airside Andy Ltd has also just launched a massively multiplayer online game based on the property, which is claimed to be the first of its kind for tablets and mobiles aimed at children. Flying Squirrel Games and Technicolor created the MMOG.

With over three billion air passengers visiting airports every year, airports are to our times what train stations were to the 20th century,” said Zodiak Kids CEO Jean-Philippe Randisi. “There’s no greater time for pre-schoolers worldwide to have fun watching and exploring them.”
