Ireland’s TV3 reaches out to producers

TV3 is looking for a raft of programming across most genres.

The Irish broadcaster put the call out this week for the new shows, which will be ordered through the latest round of the BAI Sound and Vision Fund, which allocates licence fee money to original qualifying programming.

TV3 said it is looking for submissions that will be funded through the BAI Fund as well as putting out a general call for new ideas ahead of 2017.

Specifically, the broadcaster said that it wants to fill half-hour slots before the 9pm watershed. Noisy lifestyle and factual formats are a priority, as are ideas for topical and quick turnaround projects.

There is also a requirement for new hour-long primetime fact-ent shows, docs and high-end dramas. New talent is a priority across all genres and slots.

The deadline for BAI Fund submissions is December 19. All submissions to TV3 must be through its commissioning portal.
