The deal with Left Pocket Studio and Tomavision SL gives France-based Superights worldwide distribution rights to the gender neutral preschool series, except in China and Spain.
The programme follows a five-year-old girl called Emmy and her fluffy friend Gooroo and their adventures in a magic forest.
The 52x11mins series will be completed by autumn 2017.
Shanghai-based Left Pocket has a long running partnership with Barcelona-based Tomavision, which develops, produces, and coproduces international children’s content.
French companies Axone Invest and Superprod founded Superights in May 2013, putting former M6 executive Morgann Favennec at the helm. The distributor focuses on the worldwide sales of animated and live-action family entertainment.
