FremantleMedia has promoted Rob Siegel to global head of M&A and corporate development following the decision of the former director of strategy and M&A Caroline Murphy to leave.
Siegel was formerly UK-based Fremantle’s director of mergers and acquisitions.
In his new role, which takes effect immediately, Siegel will report into Sangeeta Desai, Fremantle’s chief operating officer and chief exec of emerging markets.
In a statement Fremantle said Siegel joined the business in 2013 when it began a wave of M&A activity to further its strategic goals, and has been instrumental in that effort and a key contributor to its success.
FremantleMedia creates, produces and distributes a range of content including American Gods, The X Factor, Take Me Out, The Apprentice, Grand Designs, Munchies (with VICE Media), and The Football Republic.
