Lee will report to Apple head of development Matt Cherniss and take up the role in January 2018.
In her new role the programming exec will oversee the dramady starring and produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and commissioned by the company earlier this year.
At Universal Television’s True Jack, Lee has worked as producer for shows such as NBC’s Rise and About a Boy and Hulu’s The Path.
The move marks Apple’s latest push in building a programming team. It has already hired former Sony bosses Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg to oversee video programming and former Channel 4 exec Jay Hunt for a European role.
